IMXThe project had three main components. First an office building for our client’s new mainland team. Second, temporary office space for their own international clients to occupy for 2-6 months (almost like a WeWork facility) while utilizing our client’s marketing and business development team for their mainland introductions. Third, a large conference facility located between the two buildings to showcase the international brands when in use and when not it acts as the Hongqiao New Business District's Information/Promotional Center for tourists and potential investors.

Guiyang Poly International CenterMixed use development in the city of Guiyang along the Nanming river. At 185,000 sqm and 30 stories tall, we designed the project with the client's wishes that it be pivotal to the further development of the northern edge of the city by designing a skybridge and adjacent restaurant that are open to the public for the city's first observation point from which to gaze at both the mountains and river together. My team worked on massing, exterior wall types and typical floor plans that were then handed off to the local Chinese architecture institute for DD and CD's.

Shanghai World Financial CenterShanghai World Financial Center. 492 meter tall tower, sculpted to have an elegant presence within the Shanghai, Pudong skyline. We designed the shopping podium for both employees of the tower as well as outside visitors with an emphasis of relieving congestion during peak office hours and weekends to provide a first class shopping and dining experience. As a designer at KPF, I also studied the possibility of a Mitsubishi spokeless ferris wheel inside the tower top to try and maintain the circular hole originally intended and the public’s experience from the 94th floor entry up to their seating inside the ferris wheel pods. I also took part in the design of the hotel and shopping entry lobbies.
